The raise for Skutopia led by Pemba Capital, with support from MA Financial and Blackpeak Growth Partners, and also includes debt. Skutopia began life in 2018 as Sydney-based Workit Spaces – a coworking hub for ecommerce brands. The company pivoted to launch eCommerce software platform for online retailing during the Covid pandemic, going on to build warehousing and fulfilment centres in Sydney and Melbourne, managing picking, packing and shipping.

Skutopia, an Australian startup that builds automated warehouses for online retailers, has reached a AU$100 million (US$66 million) valuation after raising AU$38 million (US$25million) in a funding round led by Pemba Capital.

Australian logistics startup Skutopia, which uses automation to streamline e-commerce deliveries, has closed a $38 million raise led by private equity firm Pemba Capital. As first reported by the Australian Financial Review (AFR), the deal values the seven-year-old business at around $100 million.

Battersby, 34, worked for Citibank, Bumble and KIC before she co-founded and sold social media platform Sunroom. She is now the president of UK-headquartered motherhood app Peanut. She has a one-year-old, and is due to give birth to her second child.
